The K9 Hero Portrait Project will be at Camp Lavigne on October 15th, 2016 to display and talk about the K9 heroes we've painted and will be painting in our program. See event details below:

VIP includes admission at 10:00 am, Buffet lunch, limited addition wine glass
Must be 21 and have a valid ID to attend.
Come out and join us for sampling of the area's finest wineries and breweries! While you're there enjoy live music by local musicians, view local artists, visit all the food vendors and crafters. With over 1500 people in attendance at last year's 2nd Camp Lavigne Wine Festival you don't want to miss this one, it is sure to be a fun day.

GUARDIANS OF THE NIGHT K9 5K RACE - July 30th Columbia, SC
Excited to be heading to Columbia South Carolina next month for the Guardians of the Night K9 5K on July 30th. Not to run, of course, but to watch the hundreds of supporters who are running to support our friends, the Richland County Sheriff's Department K9 teams! K9 Fargo, one of our favorite and earlier K9 heroes was from Richland County Sheriff's Department. This 5K race was created after Fargo was lost in the line of duty in December of 2011.
The Guardians of the Night K9 5K Race/Run is a true night event that offers a fun, flat, fast-paced race -- giving runners the opportunity to run alongside Richland County Sheriff's Department K-9 Deputies and their K-9 partners. This is a certified race course and chip timing will be used for scoring. Awards will follow along with the opportunity to meet and greet with the K-9's and Deputies.
If you are in the area and love 5K's and track your times - this is an awesome event to be a part of!

April 8th - July 17th - Canton Museum of Art K9 Hero Exhibit
The K9 Hero Portrait Project is proud and honored that we were asked to have an exhibit of some of our military K9 Heroes at the Canton Museum of Art in Canton, OH. After the service for Canton PD K9 Jethro, the museum contacted us regarding having our own exhibit as well as including it with the Warrior Dogs exhibition AND the Animals in Art exhibition. The chosen heroes for the exhibit are:
MWD Gabe K153 SSD, IDD MWD Jig, MWD Chef H067, MWD Ryky, MWD Ddoc and CWD Carlos EDD.
The opening of the exhibit is on April 8th and our artist Loreen Pantaleone will be present to answer any questions about the heroes that she has painted. Canton Ohio PD's K9 Jethro original portrait is on display until April 29th, 2016 in the lobby of the museum. Visit CantonArt.org for more information.
