Help Sponsor K9 Cero's Tribute Painting for Sheriff Niemi
We haven't fund raised for a hero pup in over a year, but we were contacted about a very special K9 Hero that definitely saved the lives of two officers the day he paid the ultimate sacrifice. I won't go in to details, you can find Cero's story of his heroic effort to the very end on the internet as this boy was highly recognized for his sacrifice.
Cero was the first Northeast Ohio K9 hero to lose his life in the line of duty. This was such a huge and sad event for Ohio that the Honorable Steven C. TouRette immediately made a statement on the floor of the House of Representatives to pay tribute to Cero for The Ultimate Sacrifice. This speech was done the day before Cero was laid to rest.
My K9HPP Old, New, and Future family (If you've supported ONE hero in our program, you are my family!), can we get a wonderful tribute of Cero painted for Sheriff Bill Niemi?
This would be the second Sheriff I've painted for, of a K9 hero they lost long ago. Sheriff Leon Lott of Richland County Sheriff's Department in S.C. has one of his boy Rocky, and many of his K9 teams have a hero tribute of their fallen partners. (Thank you Richland for counting on me to pay tribute to your heroes!)
Now, can we raise the funds to help make this tribute possible for him?
We will be presenting a plaque along with Cero's painting that will have the names of everyone who contributes towards Cero's tribute. We will also be providing 4" photos of the completed portrait to everyone who helps make this happen.
